You’ve been thinking
“I should be able to figure this out.”
Yet, no matter how hard you’ve tried it hasn’t gotten better.
That's where I come in...— Jennifer Vulgan, LMHCA
YOUR EXPERIENCE
You describe yourself as independent, self-sufficient, and used to handling things on your own.
You’re great at taking care of others, managing hard situations, and pushing past that line where there is no more.
You might bring really big emotions; or, you might wonder if you even have emotions. Either way, there’s a feeling of disconnection and distance from others.
Like a part of you has to be held back.
MY APPROACH
I strongly believe in the power of relationship to foster healing.
Consequently, I’m very real with my clients.
Straightforward
I come with a straightforward approach (ie, direct and honest) and tend to think outside the box.
Collaborative
I like to work collaboratively— I’ll bring my expertise to help give guidance and insight; you’ll bring your expertise on what works for you and what doesn’t.
Practical
I’ll provide a predictable, comfortable space for us to explore what’s happening, what you want to change, and how to make that happen in ways that feel hopeful. Practical and real.
Relational
We’ll talk, we’ll laugh, and together we’ll find the calm and clarity you’re needing.
HOW WE WORK
Couples
I use Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), which focuses on strengthening your relationship bonds and building a real, felt connection with your partner.
Individuals
I draw from a few evidence-based approaches and tailor treatment to your goals, strengths, and experiences. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges or major life transitions, therapy should fit you— not the other way around.
Sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re trying too little.
It’s that you’ve been carrying too much, for too long.
Whether it’s slow and gradual or taken two steps at a time, I’ll work with you to find the right pace to achieve your goals. And if you’re not sure exactly what change is needed, that’s okay— we’ll work together to figure it out.
